BROCKWAY (PA) RECORD, June 8, 1945
MRS. EMMA JANE FAULKNER
Mrs. Emma Jane Faulkner, well known resident of the Shawmut valley for the 
past 57 years, died at her home Monday, May 28, at 2 a.m., aged 82 years, 
after an illness of several months from infirmities due to advanced years and 
complications.
Mrs. Faulkner was born in Lycoming County, Pa., December 13, 1863, and was the 
daughter of Jacob and Anna Reed.
In early life she was united in marriage with Christopher Faulkner in DuBois, 
Pa., later moving to Shawmut, Pa. Mr. Faulkner preceded her in death in 1920.
She is survived by six sons: Arthur Faulkner of Erie, Pa.; Jake Faulkner of 
New York City; William Faulkner of Oakmont, Pa.; Walter Faulkner of Brockport, 
Pa.; Frank Faulkner of Kittanning, Pa.; Guy Faulkner of Shawmut, Pa., and two 
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Martin of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Mrs. Anna Smith of 
Shawmut, Pa; also three sisters, Mrs. Dane Wineberg, DuBois, Pa.; Mrs. Prude 
Barket, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. E. Bock, Lancaster, Pa., as well as 34 
grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Those attending from out of town were Mrs. Dane Wineberg and son of DuBois, 
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Faulkner, DuBois, Pa.; Mrs. Robert Martin and family, 
Niagara Falls, Thomas Smith and family, Niagara Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Allen 
Faulkner and family of Wesleyville, Pa.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of 
Walter Faulkner at Brockport, Rev. Stacey Barr officiating.
Interment was made in the family lot in the Brockport cemetery.
