J. Max Lantz, pastor of the church, officiating. The deceased was aged 76 years, 10 months, and 13 days. She was married to Thomas W. Fleming Dec. 31st, 1862, and spent most of her married life in Curwensville. The deceased was aged 76 years, 10 months, and 13 days. She was married to Thomas W. Fleming Dec. 31, 1862, and spent most of her married life in Curwensville. The deceased united with the M.E. Church at Centre at the age of 15. She was an earnest, conscientious Christian, a devoted wife, a tender affectionate mother and loyal neighbor and friend. She is survived by her four children, two sons, Roy of Pittsburgh, Carl of Washington, DC., Mrs. N.(Nathan) Lawhead of Centre, Mrs. Frank Snoke of Clearfield. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery beside her husband who passed away July 1875. Additional Comments: Her parents were Alexander Caldwell and Margaret Hartshorne. She spent her married life and after living in a house in downtown Curwensville across the street from the Methodist Church. (When Centre is mentioned in these obits, it means the area located just south of Hyde before the town of Curwensville and sometimes referred to as the ridges south of Clearfield, as the land was of a higher elevation) Other notes from same paper: Mrs. Ben Post and Mrs. Charles Crawford, of Hyde, attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Thomas Fleming. Mr. and Mrs. William Hoover and Mrs. Ed Sprague of Hyde attended the funeral of Mrs. Fleming Mr. and Mrs. Lew Bailey, of Philipsburg, came over yesterday to attend the funral of the former's aunt, the late Mrs. Thomas Fleming, who was laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery yesterday afternoon.
