Death of William Hagerty.

  William Hagerty, one of Clearfield county's oldest inhabitants and a 
much respected citizen, died at his home in Madara Thursday evening at 
the advanced age of 84 years.  He was one of the earliest settlers of 
that region, having lived there for probably sixty years.  Three 
children - two sons and a daughter - survive him.  These are Isaac and 
Reuben, both of whom reside in Madara, and Catharine, wife of William 
Davis, of Houtzdale.  The funeral will take place at 1.30 this 
afternoon.  Interment in Beulah church graveyard.
