Clearfield Progress  August 20, 1989
HOUTZDALE-Miss Sarah E. Helsel, 80,of Hill Street, Houtzdale, died at 11 pm, 
Friday, Aug.18, at Clearfield Hospital. Born in Houtzdale Feb 7, 1909 she was 
a daughter of of John and Elizabeth (Thomas) Helsel. She was preceded in death 
by six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Sam McClelland of Houtzdale, Mrs. Mary 
Baldacci of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Hazel Jenkins of Chester Hill and number of 
nieces and nephews.
Miss Helsel who was a graduate of the Indiana State College, was retired from 
the Moshannon Valley School District after having taught for 42 years. She was 
a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the State Teachers 
Association. She was Protestant by faith.
Services will be held at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral HOme, Houtzdale, at 2 
pm today with the Rev. David Fraher officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF 
Cemetery at Brisbin.

Sister Mrs. Sam McClelland name is Margaret. **The date of publication was not 
available to me, the day (20th) of Aug 1989 was estimated, but within a day or 
two.
