Well Known First Ward Lady Dead.

  Britta Hoon, wife of William Hoon, living on Main street, died 
Sunday, Dec. 9, aged about 76 years.  Deceased was born in Butler, Pa., 
Sept. 13, 1812; was married Dec. 18, 1833.  She had lived in DuBois for 
a number of years, being highly respected by all who knew her.  Her 
direct descendants are 9 children, all of whom are living.  There are 
also 31 grand-children and 13 great grand-children living.  Mrs. Jacob 
Truby is one of the deceased's daughters.  Rev. M. Miller will conduct 
the funeral services at 2 P.M. to-day at the late residence on Main 
street.
