(Clearfield, Pa.): May 02, 1855 George W. Jones, son of William and Catharine Jones, of this place, after a short illness of 4 days in Carroll Co., Ohio, April 10th, aged 34 years. The deceased was a Mexican soldier; in the hour of danger, when his country called for help, he entered the arena of mortal conflict, and amidst the struggles and dangers of that eventful period, battled nobly tor his country’s rights. After his dis charge, he removed to Ohio, where he applied his mind to the study of medicine. In the winter of 1853, he attended the Electic Medical College at Cincinnati. A short time since he commenced practicing medicine at Harlem Springs, in Ohio.
