MRS. MABEL J. JOHNSON

PROSPECT PARK, PA. – Mrs. Mabel Jennie Johnson of Prospect Park, former 
Clearfield resident, died in the Taylor Hospital at Prospect Park Wednesday at 
3:30 p.m. following an illness of the past year.

Born at Penfield May 26, 1876, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and 
Mary (Apker) Hewitt and was a lifelong member of the Penfield Presbyterian 
Church.  In 1896 she was married to O. Ralph Johnson at Penfield.

Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Penfield area for 60 years before moving to 
Clearfield where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Alfred C. Koozer.

Mrs. Johnson, the last member of her immediate family, is survived by three 
children:  Paul C. Johnson, West Senaca, N.Y.; Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Lane, 
Prospect Park; Mrs. Alfred (Adeline) Koozer, Clearfield; seven grandchildren 
and seven great-grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1924.

Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home at Clearfield Monday 
at 1 p.m., the Rev. Herbert W. Glassco DD. officiating.  Interment will be 
made in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday afternoon 
and evening and until the hour of service Monday.
