The Daily Journal, Philipsburg, Sep 8, 1896
Jonathan Jones, one of Gearhartsville's well known residents, died yesterday, 
aged about 63 years.  He is survived by several grown up sons and daughters; 
his wife having died only a couple of months ago.  We are not in possession of 
further particulars, other than that the funeral will take place tomorrrow 
afternoon at 2:00.

Additional Comments:
The newspaper was incorrect about his wife having died.  It was his daughter 
Elizabeth Jones who had died June 30, 1896.
