Democratic Watchman dated 3/9/1900
James G. Katen, of Chester Hill,    Philipsburg suburb, died there last 
Thursday evening from the effects of a stroke of paralysis he suffered three   
weeks previous.  Deceased was a native of Bald Eagle valley and was 72 years 
and 8 months old.   During the civil   war he was a member of the 51st Penna. 
Vols.  He is survived by five sons and one daughter.
