Kelly, passed peacefully to rest in the Clearfield hospital at 6 o'clock Sunday evening, December 28, 1924, Bright's disease and complications causing her death. She had been in failing health for several months, but was not bed-fast until the last three weeks. One week prior to her death, her condition became critical, and she was removed to the hospital where everything was done to save her life, but it was beyond medical skill to do so. Mrs. Kelly, whose maiden name was Jennie L. Sunderlin, was born in Burnside, November 11, 1851, making her age 73 years, 2 months and 17 days. She was married to John L. Kelly, in Lumber City, in 1874. She was a resident of Hyde since 1903. Since the death of her husband five years ago, she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. Paul Bailey. She will be sadly missed in this vicinity, for her bright and sunny disposition had won her a host of friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by one son and five daughters, namely: Pearl, wife of D. S. Stiver. Hyde; Mollie, wife of C. L. Canfield, Gulfport, Miss.; Maude, wife of F. S. Nulph, Punxsutawney; Rose, wife of J. C. Stemphfley, of Farmington, Minn.; Kathryn, wife of J. Paul Bailey, Hyde; and John Lewis Kelly, of Hyde. Also, thirteen grand children. Funeral services were held at the home of J. Paul Bailey and were in charge of Rev. C. K. Gibson of the Eleventh Street Methodist Church, of Clearfield, assisted by Rev. Gray, of the Centre M. E. Church. Burial was made in Hillcrest cemetery.
