M. shabodeho@aol.com May 23, 2010, 9:23 pm Clearfield Progress 3/11/1915 Andrew Kephart Clearfield Progress 3/11/1915 Andrew Kephart, died Monday evening about 5 o'clock at his home in Decatur township, Clearfield county, aged about 80 years. Deceased was one of Decatur township's oldest and most highly respected citizens, and spent practically his entire life within a radius of a few miles of his birthplace. He was born on April 24, 1835, on the old Millwood farm, just about one mile west of Osceola, and now owned by A. W. Brown. At the time of his death, he was living within a mile of the place of his birth. Mr. Kephart in his younger days followed lumbering, and made many a trip on a timber raft from Bells Landing to Marietta and Harrisburg. In later years, he followed mining and farming. He had been in failing health for more than a year. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his death, four daughters and three sons, viz: Myra, wife of William Mothersbaugh, of Smiths Mills; Martha, wife of G. E. Zimmerman, of Carn?rath; Viola, wife of W. K. Turner, of Grampian; Eva, wife of H. A. Britten, of Brisbin; J. Frank, of Philipsburg; William P., of Madera, and Andrew, at home. The funeral was held from his late home yesterday at 1:15, with interment in the cemetery on the old Kephart homestead.
