Hugh McCann, a prominent resident of Osceola, Clearfield county, and father of W. A. McCann, of 2610 Maple avenue, died at his home yesterday morning, following a stroke of paralysis. He had been ill for the past five months. Mr. McCann was born in Ireland 70 years ago but came to this country at an early age and had resided in Osceola for many years. He was a splendid type of gentleman and possessed a great number of friends throughout this section of the state. Surviving are the following children: W. A., Altoona; Charles, Philadelphia; Mannus, Patton; John, Latrobe; Edward, Joseph, Hubert and Katherine, at home, and Sisters Etheldreda and Camille, both sisters of St. Joseph at Erie, Pa. One brother and two sisters also survive. The funeral will be held with requiem mass at the Roman Catholic church of the Immaculate Conception, Osceola, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, followed by interment at that place.
