Archibald McClain died at the home of his daughter near Morrisdale on
Saturday afternoon at the age of 86 years from complications of diseases
incident to old age. The deceased was a Christian gentleman, with a kind
and gentle disposition, that made him respected wherever known.  He came to 
this country about eleven years ago from Dumserline, Scotland, where he was 
born. He made his home with his daughters, Mrs. William Hynd and Mrs. Thomas 
Beverage, who with his son, Alexander, of Bellshill, Scotland, are left to
mourn the loss of a loving father. Mr. McClain was grandfather of thirty five 
and the great grandfather of eighteen children.  Interment was made Monday in 
the Summit Hill cemetery.  Rev. N. B. Smith, of the Munson M. E. church, 
officiating at the services.
