Obituaries
Thomas McIntire

SYKESVILLE – Thomas McIntire of 238 N. Park St., Sykesville, died Thursday at 
3:20 pm in the DuBois Hospital.
Friends may call at the Paul A. Welton Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm 
tonight and until service time.  Rev. James Kane will conduct services from 
the funeral home at 2 pm. Saturday. Interment will follow in the Lakelawn 
Memorial Park at Reynoldsville.
Mr. McIntire was born at Houtzdale Nov. 6, 1906, son of Robert and Martha 
(Thomas) McIntire. 
He was married to the former Mary Turnbull in 1934; she survives. He was a 
retired school teacher.
Other survivors are a daughter Mary Ann Kuntz of Punxsutawney,Pa; two 
grandchildren; a brother Roy McIntire of Cleveland and several nieces and 
nephews.



Additional Comments:
*two sisters also survive but are not listed  Mrs. Carl (Sarah McIntire) 
Richards of Cleveland and Mrs. Mike (Eleanor McIntire) Kost.  Sister Christina 
(abt 1904, Houtzdale) and Robert McIntire Jr. (1952, Janesville, Clearfield) 
and Robert McIntire Sr. (1953, Janesville, Clearfield,Pa) preceded him in 
death. Parents lived in Houtzdale and Janesville, Clearfield,Pa. Brother in-
law to Pearl (Burchell) McIntyre (Pearl changed the spelling of the family 
name)
