Adam McQuillen Dies, At an Advanced Age

Adam McQuillen, one of the best known men in the Clearfield-Tyrone region, died 
at his home in Woodland this morning at 8 o'clock, of heart failure. Mr. 
McQuillen was in his 83rd year and had been a residentof Woodland many years. 
Mr. McQuillen had always stood for the best things in life and took, an active 
interest in the government of the state, having been postmaster at Woodland
for the past fifteen years and held several offices of trust He was also
a member of the I. O. O. F at Clearfield.  The deceased is survived by his 
sister, Mrs. Thomas Waite, of Tyrone, three sons, John, William and Nin
and three daughters Mrs. McHale, of Bolivar; Jennie, at home; Mrs. Al 
McCowdruk/McCowdrick?, and Adda Hites, at Mt. Union. The wife of the deceased
died a little over a year ago. Nin McQuillen, of this city, is a grandson of 
the deceased. Funeral arrangements later.
