Murr, after a brief illness, passed away suddenly into a larger life last Wednesday, Apirl 14. His health had not been good for several years, but his final illness was sudden and short. Many years he had been a citizen of this place, having been a native of New Holland, Pa. His wife, daughter of E. G. Patton with his two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Lula) Fleming, of this place, and Mrs. Merlin (Esther) Kyler, of Bigler survive him. Though long in poor health, he continued his trade as a weaver. An operation at the Clearfield hospital failed to relieve his illness, so he peacefully passed away. Mr. Murr was an active member of the I. O. O. F. over forty years, serving in varied capacities many years in Bethesda lodge, 821, of this place. The obsequies were held at the Methodist Episcopal church here on Saturday at 2:30 P. M., being conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. M. Lantz, assisted by Rev. Joseph H. Cooke. Mr. Murr had been a faithful teacher in the Methodist Sunday school many years. The lodge attended the exercises in a body. Rev. Lantz preached from James 4:14 followed by remarks by Rev. Cooke. Fitting selections were rendered by the choir. Internment was made in Oak Hill cemetery, where I. O. O. F. ritual, was impressively used. Services ------? a memorial service or Lodge of Sorrow was held at Bethesda lodge in memory of the departed brother. Thus there has passed one whose face and life were always full of good -----?...
