Levi Mattern Peters, an employee of the New York Central railroad, passed
peacefully away at his home in Philipsburg, Monday morning, at 10:15 o'clock.
On December 29th, 1911, he was stricken with paralysis, confining him to his 
home, later suffering another stroke. For the past seventeen years, he had been 
a great sufferer from rheumatism, and with this added affliction, his condition 
gradually grew more serious, notwithstanding the efforts to stay the shadow 
that threatened the home, until the end came.  Deceased was the brother of Mrs. 
Ella McNerlin, of Clearfield.
