Margaret Pollock, the victim, was sitting in the right front of the auto operated by Lucille K. Swansegar, 21, of Box 75, Morrisdale. The girls were traveling west enroute to Clearfield where they are employed in the district Pennsylvania Department of Highways. State Police said the Swansegar girl is in Philipsburg State Hospital suffering severe shock, a fracture of the ankle and possibly other injuries. Trooper Walter Nixon of the Philipsburg barracks, said the cur ran off the highway and onto the berm, which was icy, then the right front of the auto struck the end post of a section of guardrail.
