CLEARFIELD PROGRESS, Clearfield, PA, April 5, 1971

CHRIS POOLE SR

STARFORD - Chris Poole Sr., 67, of Starford, Indiana County, died 
Saturday at the Indiana Hospital.

Born in Clearfield Aug. 23, 1903, he was a son of the late John and 
Elizabeth (Faulkner) Poole.

His wife, the former Verna English, died last April.

These children survive:  Chris Jr., Indiana; Mrs. Betty Pecsi, in 
California; Homer, Baltimore, Md.; Edward, Clearfield; Robert, Marion 
Center R. D.; Albert, Punxsutawney; Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Wissinger, 
Commodore R. D.; and Mrs. Leroy (Mary) Helman, Lancaster.

Nineteen grandchildren also survive along with these brothers and sisters:  
Ellsworth, Grampian; Clarence, Clearfield; Bertha and Mrs. Myrtle Zimmerman, 
Hyde; Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Beitel Sr., Saltsburg; Mrs. Irene Prayer, Harrisburg; 
and William, Bradford.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Bence Funeral Home 
in Clymer.  The Rev. Robert Marsh will officiate and interment will be in 
the Centre Cemetery near Clearfield.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. today.
