Taddeus Napieralski were held from the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Tuesday morning for William Raftovich, 74 who died at his home in Spike Island, Saturday night, January 27, 1940. He had been an invalid for the past six years. A native of Poland, Mr. Raftovich was born there August 14, 1865. He had followed mining ever since the time he has live in Osceola Mills. Six years ago he was forced to relinquish his duties as a miner on account of illness. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Anthony, William, and Frank, all of Chester; Mrs. Alice Isbicki and Joseph Raftovich, both of Norwich, Conn; Mrs. Anna Hobichic, Juniata and Mrs. Jessie Dillon, Walter and Irene Raftovich all at home. His wife died 13 years ago. Additional Comments: “Cards of Thanks” We take this medium of expressing our heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbors for the many kindnesses extended us during the illness and in our bereavement in the death of our beloved father, William Raftovich. We are especially grateful for the spiritual and floral offerings and the use of the cars at the funeral.
