Richards, aged 81 years next birthday, died at his home in Ginter, Pa, on Thursday, December 21st, 1933 at 8 a.m. He had been in poor health since last March of a heart ailment and complication due to old age. His wife Mrs. Adelaide (Higgins) Richards and the following children survive him: Ellsworth R. Richards of Ebensburg; Charles of Ginter; Mrs. Ruth Dunlap of Tyrone; Mrs. Dorothy Mayes of Lock Haven; Mrs. Grace Washinger of Lewistown; Carl of Ginter and twelve grand children. His eldest daughter Mrs. Mae H. Stanley of Ginter passed away, July 15th of this year. Deceased was born March 28, 1853 at Tamaqua, Pa, Schuylkill, Co., the son of Walter and Jane Rawlings Richards. He was employed with Berwind White Coal Co. for 35 or 40 years, and later conducted the Post Office and a general store at Ginter, having been retired from business for the past six years. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge No. 990 of Houtzdale from 1888 to the time of his death. I.O.O.F. members conducted their services at the home on Friday evening and funeral services at the home Saturday at 2 P.M. by the Rev. C.A. Brown of Osceola Mills. Interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery Brisbin, Pa. Additional Comments: William T. Richards and Adelaide (Higgins) Richards had 11 children according to Adelaide's obituary.
