Cleveland, Ohio – Carl (Cy) Richards, 70, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of 
Ginter, died Saturday morning, Jan. 11,1975, in Mt. Sinai Hospital in 
Cleveland following a short illness.
Mr. Richards was born at Ginter on June 11, 1904, a son of the late William T. 
and Adelaide (Higgins) Richards. He had lived in Cleveland for the past 20 
years.
Mr. Richards is survived by his wife, the former Sarah McIntire and these 
children: Mrs. Paul (Elizabeth) Gallo of Philipsburg; Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) 
Cotter of New Cumberland; William of Cleveland; Mrs. Anthony (Eleanor) 
Carcioppolo of Reseda California; and Robert of Cleveland; Mrs. Fred (Carol) 
Taskes of Mentor Ohio and Carl of Cleveland.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister Mrs. 
Dorothy Mayes of Ginter.
A daughter (Mrs. Angelo (Martha) Carcioppolo), two brothers and three sisters 
preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home in Houtzdale 
today and until the funeral at 1:30 pm Tuesday.
The Rev. Vincent Russo will officiate at the funeral and interment will follow 
in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brisbin.
