Rodkey, 85, of Morann, PA, died Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Philipsburg Area Hospital. She was born May 22, 1918 in Brisbin to John and Mary (Kasubick) Greenland. She was employed by General Cigar Factory in Philipsburg until her retirement. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale. She was married October 27, 1934 in Cumberland, MD. She was preceded in death by her spouse Robert Rodkey on December 21, 1980. Surviving children are: Mrs. Glenn (Bernadine) Keith of Warren and Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Kochan of Morann. Surviving grandchildren are: Glenn Keith Jr. of Warren, Robert Keith of Lakeville, MN, Billy Joe and Mark Bainey of Morann, Kevin and James Rodkey of Tyrone, Susan Bennett and Lisa Weese of Fredrick, MD and Debra Fenwick of Macon, GA. Also, four great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are: Martha Winters of RD Osceola Mills and Dorothy Kowalcyk of Madera. Also, a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons - Walter and Gerald, four brothers - William, Leonard, Thomas and John Jr., and four sisters - Catherine Kowalcyk, Mary Warakomski, and Margaret and Josephine Greenland. Mass of Christian burial will be at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at 10 a.m., with Monsignor Joseph Bobal as celebrant. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brisbin. Visitation will be at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monsignor Bobal will hold a Christian wake service Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited by Christ the King Altar and Rosary Society Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Tyrone Daily Herald, February 17, 2004
