FRED SCHWEM DIED LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON (6/13/13)
Well Known DuBois Young Man Passed Away at Hospital
After Long Illness.
Fred Schwem, one of the well known young men of
DuBois, passed away Friday afternoon at the DuBois hospital
where he had been a patient since Monday of last week.
Mr. Schwem had not been in the best of health for the
past several years, but was not confined to his bed
for the last time until a short period ago. On Monday he
was taken to the hospital and it was apparent that his
death would be but a question of but a few hours.
Mr. Schwem was born in Luthersburg and came to DuBois
fifteen years ago. He had been connected with various
mercantile establishments of DuBois, and was
recognized as a most efficient man when his health was good. He
was married ten years ago.
The funeral services took place on Monday afternoon at
2 o'clock, services at the house of Rev. Robert
Roeder. Interment was made in Luthersburg cemetery.
