Shaffer, 38 years old, surgeon for the Berwind- White Coal company, of Windber, Cambria county, was almost instantly killed two miles north of Tyrone last evening. McGraw, were driving toward Tyrone from a visit to Philipsburg in a new car. When near Vail station, Doctor Shaffer, who was driving, seemed to lose control of the car.
