Shaw, 58, of Clearfield, PA died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at his home. Born December 2, 1948 in Clearfield, he was the son of Wayne E. Shaw of Hyde, PA and the late Mildred S. (Condon) Shaw. He was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School, class of 1966. He had worked as a mechanic at West Side ARCO, Johnson Motors of Dubois and Fred Diehl Motors of Clearfield. He retired in June 2006 after fourteen years of service from Tyrone Area High School as automotive vo-tech instructor. He had attended West Side United Methodist Church and coached Clearfield Little League, Teener League Baseball and various all-star teams. He was also a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his wife Sherryl J. (Mohney) Shaw whom he married September 9, 1972; three children, Kelly L. Schwab and her husband Kevin of Waterford, PA, Brenda K. Shaw and her fiance Chet Shivley and Todd Rodger Shaw and his fiancee Amber Cartwright all of Clearfield and two grandchildren, Lucy Schwab and Jacob Schwab. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Donald Wayne Shaw and his wife Tomi of Fayetteville, NC, Elizabeth Jean Errigo and her husband John of Curwensville, PA, Dorothy Vokes and her husband Thomas of Clarks Summit, PA, Robert 'Barney' Shaw of Hyde, PA, Darlene Rauch and her husband Lewis of Curwensville and Ronald Shaw and his wife Valerie of Hyde; his mother-in-law M. Thoran 'Mauzzy' Mohney and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred S. Shaw, a brother Gerald Shaw and his father-in-law William M. Mohney, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard American Legion Post 6 and VFW Post 1785. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services.
