Thomas M. Shepherd. Death suddenly summoned Thomas M. Shepherd, of Cherry 
Tree, on Friday. The deceased had been in his usual health that day and had 
butchered his hogs, but that evening while sitting in his home he fell from 
his chair dead in the presence of his family. Heart disease was the cause of 
the sudden death. His wife died six years ago, but the following children 
survive the parents: George and Blaine (sic), residing at home;Charles of 
Emigh (sic);Mrs.Joseph Cromley (sic) and Mrs. David Leamer, of Cherry Tree, 
and Mrs. Joseph (sic) Leamer, of Westover. The deceased was aged 63 years and 
was one of the substantial citizens of the town. The funeral services were 
conducted at his late home on Sunday by Rev. Bishop and internment followed at 
Cherry Tree.
