FRANK SHUGARTS The many friends of Mrs. J. Frank Shugarts, late of Los Angeles, 'California, but formerly a resident of Altoona for several years, will be 'sorry to learn of her demise, which took place at her home last Friday 'evening at 8 o'clock. Death was due to a relapse after a severe attack of 'influenza. Mrs. Shugarts was born on the Williams homestead, near 'Ansonville, in Clearfield county, Pa., and was the youngest daughter of 'Glenn and Martill Williams, both deceased. Her girlhood days were spent at 'the old home until she was united in marriage to J. Frank Shugarts, of New 'Milport, Pa. He survives as do also the following brothers and sister: C. 'Austin Williams, of Big Run, Jefferson county; A. D. Williams, of Kochrines, 'Alaska; Mrs. J. F. Thompson, of Woodland, Pa.; E. Chauncey Williams, of 'Colorado Springs, Col.; John W. Williams, of Gazzam, Pa.; and W. Blair 'Williams, of Macon, Washington. She was a sister of the late Mrs. I. R. 'McNeel, of 604 Sixth avenue, Juniata. Mrs. Shugarts was a lifelong member 'of the Zion Baptist church of Ansonville and her consistent Christian life 'was an example to all who came into contact with her. She was possessed of 'the kindliest of dispositions and "none knew her but to love her." The 'remains will be brought from Los Angeles, Cal., to Ansonville, Clearfield 'Co., where services will be held in the Baptist church, at 1:30 p.m. on 'Tuesday, March 11.
