HOUTZDALE - Charles J. Sklar, 84, of 928 Don St., Houtzdale, died at his 
home Saturday, Feb 4.  He was born Aug. 26, 1899, in Morann, the son of 
Stephen and Suzanna (Reynak) Sklar.  
  Mr. Sklar was a retired coal miner, a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus 
Society Branch No. 7KJ and Houtzdale Fire Co.
  He is survived by these children: Charles J. of Ramey, Joseph T. of 
Washington, Mrs. Michael (Sophia) Yebernetsky of Madera and Dorothy Sklar at 
home; two brothers, George, Georgia, and Julius, Michigan.  16 grandchildren 
and five great grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Josephine 
McKonsky, five brothers and one sister.
  ass of Christian Burial will be said at Christ the King Catholic Church, 
Houtzdale, at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the Rev. Joseph Czarkowski as celebrant.  
  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Woodward Township.
  Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Birger A. Freeberg 
funeral home in Houtzdale.  Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
