Mrs. Ellen Smith:
	PENFIELD - Mrs. Ellen Smith, wife of Charles D. Smith of here and life-
long resident of the area, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at her home after a 
lengthy illness.  She was 47.
	Rev. John McCleery will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday 
from the family residence here.  Burial will be in Gardner Hill Cemetery. 
Friends may call at the residence after 2:30 p.m. today.
	Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 4, 1914 in Caledonia, daughter of Peter and 
Mary Doyle Reasinger. She was married Nov. 26, 1932 to Charles D. Smith.  He 
survives.
	She was a member of the Penfield Free Methodist Church. 
	Besides her husband, Mrs. Smith leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen 
Wallace, Ridgway; a son, Charles Jr., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Martha 
Hutton, Medix Run; Mrs. Lizzie Armagost, Reynoldsville; and Mrs. Phoebe 
Chambers, Westleyville; three brothers, James, Weedville; Thomas, Warren, Pa., 
and Daniel, Detroit, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
	Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
