EMMA SMITH DIED FEB. 26TH
     Emma "Dolly" Smith, 83, 500 Elm St., Weedville, died Thursday at Christ 
The King Manor in DuBois.
     Born March 14, 1920, in Gardner Hill, she was the daughter of the late 
Kingsley and Emma Smyers Beck.  She was married to Harry Robert Smith June 13, 
1951.  He survives.
     She lived all her life in Bennetts Valley and attended Gardner Hill 
School.
     She was a homemaker and was Protestant by faith.
     She is also survived by one son, Harry Robert Smith Jr. of Scattertwon; 
one daughter, Mrs. Rusty (Karen) Evans of Morrisdale; one sister, Rose Marie 
Smith of Emlenton; five step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
     She was also preceded in death by six brothers: Roy, Jeremiah, James, 
John, Harvey and an infant brother and five sisters: Amy Strouse, Anna Hall, 
Lois Handerson, Mariah Beck and Elvira Beck.
     Friends were received at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield where 
a funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004.  Rev. 
Russell Mencer officiated and burial was in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois.
