BELIEVE SLAYER DEMENTED Dubois, Pa. Sept. 10 - Jacob Snyder, 65, was slain here today when attacked with an axe, and John Slidock, who Coroner H. H. Lewis said he believed was demented, was charged with the killing. Slidock was employed by Snyder, a junk dealer, who resided on the outskirts of DuBois. The slaying occurred in the Snyder home. Slidock, also known as Salaboul, was said by police to have admitted to killing. Steps were taken to have his mentality investigated after, officers said, he told a much garbled story. He made no attempt to escape after Snyder had been attacked. Slidock came here from Salamanca, N.Y. three months ago and had been working for the junk dealer for six weeks.
