	Willard LeRoy Stauffer, 69, of Howard, died at the Veterans 
Administration Hospital in Altoona yesterday at 3:15 a.m. being a patient 
there two months.
	Mr. Stauffer was born at Madera June 22, 1888, a son of Lawrence and 
Nettie Moffitt Stauffer.  In 1915 he married Sidney Fletcher, who died May 18, 
1938.
	He was a retired fireman for the Carnation Milk Company and went to 
make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Harold Confer at Howard, four years 
ago.  He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Howard Methodist Church 
and the Bellefonte Order of Moose.
	Funeral services will be held at the Neff Funeral Home at 2 p.m. 
Friday, Rev. James W. Nottingham officiating.  Burial will be in the Methodist 
cemetery at Morrisdale.
	Friends will be received at the funeral home from tomorrow noon until 
time of services.
