James D. Stephenson, 78, of Clearfield died on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the
Mountain Laurel Nursing and rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on April 19, 1929 in Clearfield, a son of the late William Lisle and
Virginia (Dutra) Stephenson.

Mrs. Stephenson sold, installed and serviced overhead electric garage doors for
50 years.  During that time, he owned and operated Overhead Garage Doors for
several years.

He is survived by seven children, Peggy Bishop and husband Jerry of Pleasant
Valley, Patricia Ting and husband Daniel of Clearfield,  Sally Ireland and
husband Elon of Clearfield, Terri Ogden and husband Jeff of Clearfield, Janice
Schenk of Clearfield, David Stephenson of Clearfield, Keith Fledderman of
Philadelphia, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Stephenson,
a brother William Stephenson and a sister Sara Jane Stephenson.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahaffey on
Sunday at 2:00 P.M.

Interment will be in the cemetery.  Following the service, family and friends
are invited to the home of Janice Schenk, 307 Merrill St., Clearfield for a time
of remembering and sharing.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Joseph A. and
Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 1 S. Front Street, Clearfield PA  16830.  The
Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
