DIES IN PHILADELPHIA.

  Edward Strayer of 1416 Sixth avenue has received word of the death of 
his mother, Mrs. Margaret Strayer, aged 93, formerly of Houtzdale, at 
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Walters of 3244 Sansom street, 
Philadelpia, at 6.15 o'clock Monday morning.  She had made her home 
with her daughter for the past two years.  Her husband, Reuben Strayer, 
died twenty-four years ago.  She was the mother of ten children, those 
surviving being Hughie, Mrs. Henry Walters, Mrs. Ezra Emery, all of 
Philadelphia; Reuben of Pittsburgh, Edward of 1416 Sixth avenue, this 
city, and David and Mrs. James Little of Johnstown.  Funeral services 
will be held Thursday morning at Houtzdale.
