Guy B. Strickland

Guy B. Strickland, son of George and Alvaretta (Thompson) Strickland
passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Effie Houpt , Anderson Street, 
Curwensville, yesterday afternoon at 3 p. m.  He was 61 years  of age.  Born 
December 12, 1894, he was a veteran of World War I and a member of the 
Curwensville American Legion. He is survived by the following and brothers and 
sisters: Mrs. Houpt, Curwensville;  Walter Strickland, Curwensville;  Fred 
Strickland, Cumberland, Maryland; Mrs. Nannie Traister, Curwensville; and 
George S. Strickland, Canton, Ohio.  Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by 
his parents and a brother Zelotus  A. Strickland.  Funeral services will be 
held from the Lininger Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock 
with the Reverend A. C. Clever, pastor of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church 
officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Friends will be received at 
the Lininger Funeral Home tomorrow from 7 to 10 p. m. and until time of 
services Wednesday.
