Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, December 30, 1880

Hon. A. C. Tate, of Clearfield, while attending the funeral of 
Dr. Crouch, who died of apoplexy at Curwensville, Tuesday afternoon, 
fell dead from heart disease.  Mr. Tate was about 53 years of age, 
and was a member of the Pennsylvania Legislature of 1876-77.  He 
leaves a large circle of friends.
