BROCKWAY (PA) RECORD, January 18, 1978

HELEN J. THOMPSON, 74, Brockway RD 2, died Friday, January 13, 1978, in the 
Maple Avenue Hospital, DuBois.

A daughter of Isaiah and Mary Ellen Kroah Briggs, she was born July 4, 1903, 
in Brockway.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church, the 
Brockway Senior Citizens Club and a former member of the Brockway Chapter of 
Eastern Star.

Surviving are two sons, Charles (Tony) of Painesville, Ohio, and Paul of 
DuBois; two daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Humphreys of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Jean 
Brubaker of Brockway; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four 
brothers, Joseph, Denver, Colo., Clayton, Brockway, Milton and Floyd, Akron, 
Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Renwick, Brockway and Mrs. Evelyn Sloan, 
DelRay Beach, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Thompson in 1968, three 
sisters and two brothers.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Carlson Funeral Home, 
Brockway, where the Rev. George Cook and the Rev. Albert Renwick conducted 
funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment followed in the Lakelawn 
Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
