Death of Ex-Judge Thompson.

  Hon. J. D. Thompson, of Curwensville, ex-Associate Judge of this 
county, died Friday evening, aged about 75 years. A year ago last June 
his wife passed away to the better world, since which time Mr. Thompson 
was in feeble health and desirous of joining her.  Mr. Thompson was at 
one time an Associate Judge of Clearfield county.  In all his relations 
he bore himself as a good citizen and a useful one.  His death will be 
deeply laments by the community of which he was for so many years an 
honored member.  He was for many years a faithful and useful member of 
the M. E. Church, and was faithful and waiting for the summons to 
depart.  Four sons and three daughters survive to mourn their loss.  
The funeral took place Sunday afternoon. - Raftsman's Journal.
