Many of our people will remember little George Waters the young stepson of Andrew Arnot. George, now a young man, had become fireman of the T. & C. R.R. coming to Rauchtown, Clinton Co. to visit his sick mother. She gave him the gold watch of his father Harvey Waters, who had been killed by the bursting of a locomotive boiler many years ago. At Lock Haven he jumped off a freight train and was thrown under the wheels, twenty cars passing over him and curshing him to a jelly. The remains were taken to his mother's at Rauchtown for burial and thus the deadly freight cars has cruelly ended another young life. A.H.R.
