Frank Whelen    

The death of Frank Whelan on Wednesday evening cast a gloom over the community. 
The young man had been a patient sufferer from tuberculosis for over a year and 
had not been able to leave his home since last Christmas. He was of an 
extremely amiable disposition and had many friends. After graduating from our 
high school a few years ago he spent a couple of years in New York, after which 
he entered a business college at Syracuse, but was obliged to give up his 
studies; on account of ill health. Deceased was about 23 years of age, and 
surviving him are his father, M. J. Whelen, and his brother, William. The 
funeral will probably hp held on Saturday morning.
