The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ___________________________________________________________ Will of Ludwig Snyder Clearfield County Will Book B, p. 6, no: 509 proved 2 April 1860 I, Ludwig Snider of Bell Township Clearfield County State of Pennsylvania do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and forme following Viz: First It is my will and I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral espenses by duly paid and satisfied by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently can be after my decease. Second It is my will and I order and direct that all my personal property be sold by public vendue as soon after my decease as my executors shall deem proper and whereas I hold in my possession a bond on Lewis Snider and George Snider Jr. (my grandsons) and sons of my son George Snider conditioned for the payment of five hundred dollars on the twenty third of November one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight It is my will and I order and direct that all or any part of said bond being and remaining unpaid at my decease be collected as soon as can be done after it becomes due and the same together with the proceeds of the sale of my personal propety and all my personal estate of every colour and kind after deducting expenses of Administering &c be divided between my several heirs Six sons and two daughters Viz: George, Daniel, John, Jacob, Johannes Ludwig and Sebastian and Catharine intermarried with John Smith and Barbara intermarried with John Selfridge share and share alike. Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends William Feath and Thomas Mahaffey Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills legacies and bequeaths by me hereunto made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the second day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty three Ludwig Snider (in German) Signed, sealed and delivered by the said testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us John Orr Simon Stewart I Ludwig Snider the foregoing named testator do hereby make and publish this codicil to be added to my last will and testament in manner following Viz: That whereas in my said will it is set forth that I then held a bond on Lewis Snider and George Snider Jr. condition for the payment of five hundred dollars on the twenty third day of November 1858 Now I have this day cancelled the said bond by a receipt in full and have taken their bond dated this day for the sum of three hundred and fifty five dollars and sixty cents to become due and payable on the first day of November 1867.
