These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ County of Clinton, State of Pennsylvania On this 1st day of November, A.D. 1907 appeared before me, Justice of the Peace within and for the County and State aforesaid, Martin Kling, who, being duly sworn, declares that he is 75 years of age and a resident of Porter township, county of Clinton, and that he is the identical person who was enrolled at Samai township under the name of Martin Kling, on the 9th day of August, 1862 as a Private in Company E, 137th Regt. Penna. volunteers in the service of the United States in the Civil War and was honorably discharged at Washington, D.C. on the 8th day of December, 1862. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows - height 5 feet 9 inches; complexion, light; color of eyes, dark; color of hair, dark; that his occupation was laborer; that he was born October 28th, 1832 at Lancaster county, Penna.. That his several places of residence since leaving service have been: Cedar Springs, Clinton county, Penna., 3 years; Mackeyville, April 1st 1866; Nittany, April 1st 1868; Mackeyville, April 1st 1880. That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under provisions of the act of February 6, 1907. That his post-office address is Mackeyville, County of Clinton, State of Pennsylvania. [signature} Martin Kling Attest: (1) W.J.
