A Family Stricken With Diphtheria.

  Grant S. Barnhart, of this city, received information on Monday last 
that diphtheria had invaded the family of his father-in-law, Nathan 
Harvey, of Castanea, Clinton county, a suburb of Lock Haven.  Edith, a 
two-year-old child, died on Sunday morning and another of the family, a 
little boy 4 years old was then seriously ill.  Today word was received 
that the boy, Clarence, was dead, and that Mame and William were both 
very low.  On account of the nature of the disease Mrs. Barnhart is 
prevented from going to the relief of her stricken relatives.  The 
family have many friends in this city.
