Batey, died at 12.15 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Engles at Greenwood, of Bright's disease, following an illness of a few weeks. She was born Dec. 14, 1858, near Lock Haven, the daughter of John and Annetta Farrow. Surviving are the husband and these children, Mrs. A. F. Seeburg, Mrs. Charles Dewitt, Mrs. Frank Engles, Mrs. Ivan Cristy and Edward, all of Altoona, Mrs. Anna Seyler, Mrs. John Probst, and John Batey, all of Mt. Union, P. W. Batey of Sunbury and Lloyd, with the American Expeditionary forces in France. A brother Ira Rorabaugh of Harrisburg and a sister, Mrs. Mary Houpt, of Sunbury, also survive. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Lock Haven. The remains will be taken to Lock Haven at noon Monday, where funeral services and interment will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
