On Saturday evening at 8.15 o'clock Mrs. Nancy Ann Bierley, of Loganton, Pa., died at the home of her sister Mrs. Jacob Shirk, on Twenty-second street. Mrs. Bierly came to Tyrone about two months ago to visit Mrs. Shirk and her father, the venerable George W. Gray, who has passed his ninety-second mile stone along life's journey. Shortly after arriving in Tyrone Mrs. Bierly became ill with a complication of diseases. Her condition was not alarming until Saturday afternoon when she had a sinking spell and gradually grew weaker until she passed into the peaceful sleep at the time mentioned above. Mrs. Bierly was a consistent Christian woman of high ideals. She was a devoted member of the United Evangelical church of Loganton, where she has resided the past forty-three years. She was a daughter of George W. and Elizabeth Harpster Gray. The mother preceded Mrs. Bierly to the grave about eighteen years ago. Deceased was born at Spruce Creek about 68 years ago. In 1863 she was united in marriage at Washington Furnace, to Israel Bierly who passed away two years ago last May. Surviving to mourn Mrs. Bierly's death are the following children: Charles and George A., of Jersey Shore; John, of Loganton; Mrs. George Johnson, of Lock Haven; Mrs. Clara Wagner, of Loganton; also her father, George W. Gray, of Tyrone, and the following brothers and sisters: James Gray, of Milesburg; Joseph Gray, of Pittsburg; Mrs. B. F. Kyler, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Jacob Smith, of Tyrone. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. W. Karns at the Shirk home on Twenty-second street, Monday evening at 8 o'clock.
