    From the Clinton Democrat we learn of the death of Benjamin Morrison, 
  Esq., which took place on Sunday, April 19, 1874, aged about 55 years.  
  He was born in Jersey Shore, and resided in Lock Haven since 1849.  He was 
  considered the best surveyor in the State, and, perhaps, there was no 
  other man in the West Branch valley as conversant with land titles as was 
  the deceased.  He was kind hearted to the extreme, honest in his 
  dealings, and had more warm personal friends than any other person in 
  that section of the state.
