The funeral services over the remains of the late Jackson Watson, whose death was briefly noted in Tuesday's TRIBUNE, took place in Lock Haven at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. R. Bender, of the Methodist Episcopal church. The immediate cause of his death was paralysis, the first attack of which occurred about four years ago. Last Saturday night he had another attack, through which he lingered until Monday morning at 9 o'clock, when his spirit passed into the better country. He was long a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was well and favorably known to the members of that denomination during his sojourn in this city by his faithful attendance upon public worship and clear testimony in relating his religious experience. In his last testimony here he declared that his house was in order, awaiting the summons of his Heavenly Father. He leaves a wife, besides seven children, the latter being Mrs. Fanny Donahay, wife of George B. Donahay, and John M. Watson, of this city; Mrs. Martha Baliett, of Steelton, Tillie J. Watson, of Philadelphia, Mrs. Minnie Pierce and Misses Eliza and Sadie Watson, of Lock Haven, all of whom were present at the funeral. The deceased was in his 81st year.
