Brown buwbrown@comcast.net August 22, 2008, 9:31 am My Dear Sarah I just received your very kind letter and am sorry my neglect to write has caused you anxiety. I have been so busy that I put things off. I do not recollect anything you have written that could pained me. Nothing has gone wrong with me. I have an extraordinary good wife and all the children and there familys like her very much. She has had a good deal of money at one time and and acumulated a large amount of high priced furniture and BrickaBrack which would not fit our house. So I rented a house and we left Christine in the house with the furniture. Bess just moved into her new house and Ed is living with us. Every thing is going nicely. If I can ever get my finances in shape there is no reason why I should not be perfectly comfortable and happy. They expect another baby at Coods. Christines boy has not been very strong but seems to be all right now. My wife is an excelent cook and good housekeeper. But confidentaly I would rather live in the little house on the hill with the old furniture. I am glad to hear you are all well. You can send this to Carrie as I do not suppose I will get started to write them. I do not know if I owe them a letter. Fred and Edith are all right. I was elected President of the Town again this spring. Your brother, Will Additional Comments: This letter was written on business stationery: W.O.
