(Ebensburg, Pa.) June 16, 1870 A three year old daughter of Mrs. Margaret McDade was drowned in the Conemaugh river, nearly opposite the Millville school-house, on Friday last. The child had been playing with a ball on the bank of the river, and throwing it into the water, attempted to wade in after it, but, getting beyond her depth, she was drowned. The body of the unfortunate little one has not been recovered up to the time of writing this.
